Waiting for Next Bout Of Severe Weather

Saturday has been a good day of cleaning up across the state from numerous thunderstorms that produced scattered wind damage mainly in the eastern half of the state. The sky has been mostly sunny with only a few scattered clouds here and there (more toward afternoon) and temperatures comfortably in the 80s.

However, the forecast is not promising. There is a slight risk of severe weather Sunday across the entire state with an elevated risk of another MCS/Derecho possibly sweeping across the state once more. Along with that possibility, large hail and another round of heavy rain will be possible as well with these storms Sunday afternoon into the evening. If Sunday’s weather didn’t float your boat, Monday won’t be your day either, with the entire state covered in a slight risk again. Monday’s severe weather chances will depend a lot of what goes down on Sunday, as to where the storms move through, what boundaries may be left behind and any sort of debris cloudiness that may hamper any daytime heating that could inhibit storm development Monday. More will be known by tomorrow morning.
