Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds This AM

Radar at 3:53am

Numerous complexes of showers and thunderstorms are currently moving through the state this morning. The complex in south-central into southeast Iowa has begun to move to the east-northeast around 30mph after dumping an estimated 3 inches of rain on some locations. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect there.

The complexes that are moving into the western part of the state are weakening as there has only been some sporadic warnings over the last few hours, however some wind gusts up to 50mph can still be expected as these storms continue moving through the western part of the state. Along with that, some heavy rain is also possible which could lead to some flash flooding similiar to what is occurring with the storms to the SE of Des Moines.
