All of Iowa, Severe Weather

Larger Severe Weather Threat Today.

There is a moderate risk of severe weather for the southeastern part of the state, with a slight risk of severe weather for most of the state. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds, with isolated tornadoes being possible in the moderate risk area. The front that was teh cause of the thunderstorms during the overnight hours, will continue to develop more strong to severe storms throughout the afternoon and the evening hours. Along with the chance of severe weather, some heavy rain is still possible as well, thus a flash flood watch is still in effect for most of the state.

Note: Any warnings will be on the twitter feeds of the NWS to the right of the blog, if they aren’t up on here.
