Severe Weather To Continue Overnight

Although the severe weather threat had abaided somewhat, severe thunderstorms can still be expected during the overnight. A Severe thunderstorm watch is now in effect in Van Buren and Lee counties in SE Iowa until 4am. Just recently issued, a severe thunderstorm watch is now in effect until 7am for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Audubon, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Clarke, Crawford, Dallas, Davis, Decature, Fremont, Greene, Guthrie, Harrison, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Mills, Monona, Monroe, Montgomery, Page, Polk, Pottawattamie, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Shelby, Story, Tama, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren and Wayne. The main threat with any storms tonight will be damaging winds with isolated large hail also possible. Heavy rain is also possible as there is a flash flood watch in effect for parts of Iowa as well.
