The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 2am for the following counties, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, Washington. Thunderstorms many of them severe continue moving through the western and southern portions of the state. Large hail and damaging winds will be possible if not likely with any of these storms. An isolated tornado is also possible for the next few hours (until sunset at the latest). More warnings will likely be issued in the coming hours.
