An absolutely beautiful forecast in store today for those heading from Orange City to Spencer for the first day of RAGBRAI XLV! Spencer has hosted four other times, in 1979, 1990, 1999, and 2007, with today’s route featuring 62.6 miles and 1,283 feet of climb. The ride today will start out cool in the mid-60s before warming up to the mid-80s by late afternoon. Clear skies will be the story throughout the day; winds will be light at 5-10 MPH out of the northwest.
Clear skies with temperatures in the low 80s are on deck for Monday and Tuesday before change hits Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms areĀ likely in Charles City on Wednesday with an 80% chance at this point in time. The Storm Prediction Center also has an elevated risk of severe weather over the area, so this bears watching in coming days.
Have a great Sunday!
