Several reports of more than 3 inches of rain have come into the National Weather Service Office in Des Moines. A public report of nearly 6 inches south of Fontenelle, and at the Creston airport seem to be the largest thus far. Beconsfield reported over 4 inches. Another inch or so of rain will fall before it ends later this morning. Several rivers including the Thompson River at Davis City could briefly jump above flood stage before falling back. Otherwise the creeks and streams will the suspectible to the flooding from this heavy rain event.
