A batch of thunderstorms, some of them severe are moving through the central portions of the state this afternoon. The storms are capable of producing hail up to quarter sized. They are moving to the NE at about 40-45mph. Even if the storm isn’t severe, brief heavy rain and hail up to penny sized will be possible as the storms move toward Waterloo and Mason City areas in the next 90 minutes.
