Heavy Rain on the Cold Side

The state of Iowa will be on the colder side of this large system that will be moving through the central portion of the country over the next few days. Instead of the tornado outbreak that is expected in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Missouri, we’ll be seeing some occasional non-severe storms with heavy rain likely and temperatures that will be around 5-10 degrees below average. Rainfall amounts just through tomorrow afternoon when the rain is expected to let up may range from 1-2 inches. Another storm Wednesday into Thursday will bring another round of heavy rainfall to the state and could bring about some chances of flooding at that time.
