The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch which is in effect until 5am Friday morning for Fremont, Page, Decatur, Ringgold and Taylor counties. This would include the cities of Sidney, Shenandoah, Clarinda, Bedford, Mount Ayr, Lamoni and Leon.

Thunderstorms have been firing along and north of a warm front that is currently across northern Kansas through the northern sections of Missouri. Some of the storms may cross into the southern tier of counties that are under the watch until 5am. The main threat in Iowa from any of these storms will be large hail.
