Strong gusty southwesterly winds around a low pressure center well to the north of the state continues this afternoon across the state. Most of the state remains dry this afternoon with the exception of the extreme southeast where there are a few light rain showers near Burlington, Fort Madison and Keokuk. These are moving into Illinois at this time. The winds will subside this evening and Sunday should see winds of only 10-15mph. Temps today aren’t as warm as they were on Thursday, but they are near the seasonal average for this time of year. This will continue not only tomorrow but into the upcoming week as well.
