A band of light to moderate rain continues moving northeastward through the state at midday. It was located mainly between US Hwy 20 and I-80 in central and western Iowa and mainly south of US Hwy 20 in eastern Iowa. Rainfall amounts have been quite substantial, with Lamoni, Chariton and Osecola receiving more than 1.5 inches of rain since Midnight last night. Widespread 1-3 inches is possible through Sunday as this storm slowly moves through.

Also, the winds have begun to pick up out of the east and southeast today. Gusts up over 30 mph have been recorded in many locations.
