Heavy Rain Possible This Weekend

A storm system will move into the state on Friday and will last through at least Sunday and possibly even early next week. Total precipitation amounts could be between 1-2 inches. With the ground quite dry across most of the state, some of the rainfall may runoff and lead to minor flooding on some creeks and streams, otherwise flooding should not be a big concern with this storm at this time. Severe weather is not anticipated at this time either, but that too could change as the storm draws closer. Cooler readings will come in behind the front with highs dropping into the 50s to lower 60s with lows in the low to mid 40s.
