Hope you enjoyed the break today, becuase storms are coming back tomorrow.
Storms will return Friday as a cold-front sweeps across the state tomorrow, after the storms are through, we’ll have much nicer and cooler conditions on Saturday, Just in time for the Cy-Hawks game.
First let’s discuss the storms. A few light showers may be possible early in the morning in the eastern half of the state, but a much better chance for showers and thunderstorms will come in the afternoon and evening hours. We’ll have to keep a close eye on this because storms may impact Friday Night High School football in Eastern Iowa.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed a slight risk of severe for the southern portion of Iowa.
Widespread severe weather is not anticipated, however a few storms with large hail and strong winds aren’t out of the question, we’ll keep an eye on it.
As storms exit Friday Night, and we start out our Saturday, we’ll experience much more comfortable and fall-like conditions.
Saturday will be a great day, with highs in the low to mid 70’s.
We’ll see a slight warm-up on Sunday, and Monday with hi’s back in the upper 70’s and low 80’s, however the warmer weather won’t last long as we have another (and perhaps more significant) cool-down beginning Tuesday and is looking to last through the week.
Have a Great Friday and weekend!
