Rainy Towards the End of the Week

Not a lot of change in the forecast over the last day or so, filtered sunshine with a few clouds and highs in the 60s and lower 70s will be the rule through the middle of this week. There is a slight chance of rain Wednesday especially in southern Iowa with the best chances being in the SW. The entire state will see showers and thunderstorms by Friday into the weekend. Heavy rain is possible with this storm as it is expected to slowly move through the midwest Friday-Sunday. Severe Weather is not expected at this time, but that could change in future outlooks. Cooler weather will move in early next week behind this storm system with temps dropping a bit below seasonal averages at that time.
