No worries about a Bad Reputation

Another generally great day for those heading out to the State Fair, aside from some late day storm chances. Patchy dense fog may be seen early with temperatures in the upper 60s. However, this won’t last long as things quickly warmup into the mid 80s by mid-afternoon. Winds will be southwesterly-to-southerly at 5-10 MPH for the majority of the day. And, have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day? The one highlight late in the short term outlook shows 30-40% rain chances as Heart with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick take the stage at 8:00 p.m. This would be something to pay attention to if you or your friends head to this concert tonight – keep an eye on the skies and prepare to seek appropriate shelter (Who will you run to?) if necessary, due to potential lightning.

And, for the extended outlook – I want you to want Wednesday and Thursday. Partly cloudy skies should be seen both days with temperatures in the mid-80s, so you can definitely put another dime in that jukebox, baby. And unfortunately, if you’re heading out on Friday, I better use this one chance to let you know that there will likely be widespread showers and thunderstorms across the area, which may hamper your plans to head out. Ain’t that a shame. However, the future’s bright ahead, with partly cloudy skies expected on Saturday and Sunday to close out the fair. Though, mother nature wants to even it up though, with cooler temperatures in the 70s expected over the weekend thanks to a cold arctic air mass settling itself into the area.

Enjoy your Tuesday at the State Fair – will you be there?
