Another great day is in store for RAGBRAI riders today as they make the 58.5 mile trek from Creston to Leon, with 3,318 feet of climb. Winds will be fairly calm for the most part, potentially up to 5 MPH from the northeast-to-east, with sunny-to-partly sunny skies prevailing. High temperatures will again peak into the upper 80s, about normal for this time of year in Iowa.
Wednesday will be a bit more cloudy and cooler at 83°, however storm chances should hold off until mid-to-late evening. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible beyond that point. Anyone staying outside should monitor conditions Wednesday night carefully and prepare to seek appropriate shelter should lightning become a bigger threat. Thursday looks to be a bit cruddy in nature with partly-to-mostly cloudy skies with highs struggling to reach the low 80s. A 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms exists throughout the day. Friday and Saturday will remain cool in the upper 70s with partly sunny skies.
