Here is the current 1pm temperatures across the state of Iowa. Notice a wide ranging temperature sweep from the upper 40s in Mason City to near 80 in southern Iowa. A warm front is moving through the state, currently situated along the US Hwy 30 corridor with the rain about 50 miles north of that keeping the temperatures down in those areas. The warm front will continue to slowly move to the north today taking the rain and thunderstorms with it. South of the front mostly sunny skies will prevail with highs in the 70s and lower 80s (far south), while the north will see highs barely making it to 60 in many locales.
