The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 6am for Jackson, Clinton and Scott counties in eastern Iowa. This is mainly for a thunderstorm that has been producing very strong winds over 60+ mph wind gusts over the eastern portions of the state. The watch goes eastward across the northern sections of Illinois. Damaging winds will be the main threat with isolated large hail secondary.
