The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch which is in effect until 5am for the following counties, Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Adams, Appanoose, Clarke, Davis, Decatur, Lucas, Monroe, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Wayne, Adair, Audubon, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story, Tama and Warren.

This replaces the TORNADO Watch that was previously in effect.

The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds. Thunderstorms continue along the warm front. However they have weakened over the last few hours. More storms may form later tonight into tomorrow morning along the warm front as it continues to move northward.
