Today: Widespread rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will dominate the weather for your Sunday. Many areas across Iowa will receive 1 to 3 inches of rain Sunday into early Monday. Highs today will range from the upper 30’s across NW Iowa to the lower 60’s in the SE corner of the state. We could see a few breaks in the rain during the morning hours otherwise rain will continue for most of the day.
Tonight: Rain will continue across much of Iowa with the rain mixing with a little snow across the far NW sections of the state. Lows tonight will be ion the lower 30’s across NW Iowa to the mid 40’s across the SE.
Extended: Rain will gradually end on Monday but it will be a wind day with NW winds gusting from 30 to 40 MPH. Another storm system will be moving into the Central Plains on Tuesday into Wednesday. Right now it appears NW Iowa could see accumulating snows. More to come on that as we get closer to mid week.
