High pressure has dominated the weather situation over the midwest over the past several days, and this will continue to move to the southeast. A storm system brewing over the desert southwest will move into the area this week. Moisture ahead of this will result in widespread chances for showers and thunderstorms across the area today. These will continue into Tuesday as it lingers over the area, before moving into the central plains. Temperatures will definitely be on the downturn after today, however, with 20s and 30s for lows Wednesday night, and 40s for highs on Thursday. These temperatures won’t be on the rise as we may be seeing low-to-mid 30 high temperatures by the weekend with mid-to-upper teens for lows. We’ll keep an eye on it.
