After a damp and mostly cloudy start to the weekend Sunday will be a beautiful early November day across Iowa with sunny skies and highs from the mid 60’s in NE Iowa to the mid 70’s across Central and Southern Iowa. It will be a windy day with southerly winds 10 to 20 MPH with higher gusts to near 30.
Sunday night skies will be mostly clear with lows in the mid 40’s across the state.
Looking ahead into next week the warm and dry weather continues across Iowa. Temperatures will be much above normal for November. The next chance for precipitation comes midweek in the form of showers and possible a few thunderstorms.
With the clocks falling back 1 hour last night for DST today is a good day to replace batteries in smoke detectors and weather radios.
