Today: Southerly winds will bring warmer temps to the state today with high’s approaching the 70 degree mark in the SW while the NE 1/2 struggle to make it into the 60’s. Winds will become strong in the afternoon, with gusts in the 20’s under mostly sunny skies.
Tonight: Temps will stay in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s overnight, aided by the southerly winds. Once again, mostly clear conditions will prevail.
Extended: There is an elevated fire danger on Monday as winds of 35-45mph are expected along with low relative humidity levels of 30-35%. A shortwave will pass through the area from late Monday into Tuesday, bringing a very slim chance of precipitation to the state. High pressure will once again be the dominant weather feature towards the end of the week, returning the state to the dry, sunny conditions that has prevailed the past 2 weeks.
