DIFFERENT WEATHER: The chances of precipitation looks set to continue over the western counties of the state while the eastern counties see mostly sunny skies with some clouds from time to time through Thursday. Highs will range from the middle 70s in the western counties with more clouds around to the lower 80s in the eastern counties where sunshine will be found. As the system begins to dissipate and move away on Friday, the entire state will become sunny with above average temperatures heading into the upcoming weekend. We will see readings in the upper 70s and lower to middle 80s for highs with lows in the 50s and 60s.

NEXT SYSTEM: It looks to remain quiet until Tuesday when a cold front looks to move through with a chance of some showers possible although some areas may not get any precipitation. It will bring a brief shot of cooler air late Tuesday into next Wednesday with readings sliding back into the 60s and lower to middle 70s for highs with lows in the 40s to lower and middle 50s.

EXTENDED PERIOD: Looking into the extended period, temperatures warm back up once again as we head into the first few days of October. This is ahead of another system that is shown on the model to move through around the 4th of October with a chance of precipitation albeit slight. Cooler air looks to follow but outside of a few chances here and there, it will be mainly dry through the period. Temperatures will be near seasonal levels for the most part outside brief cool periods following storms. No real trends are setting up at this time, but we’ll keep watching in the coming days for any.
