Today: Sunday will be a sunny and pleasant day with highs ranging from 70 to 77 across the state. The warmer temperatures will be across the western ½ of Iowa as winds switch to the south and begin to draw in warmer air back into the region. It will be breezy with winds 5 to 15 MPH with higher gusts.
Tonight: Skies will be mostly clear with lows ranging from 51 to 59 across the state. Again Eastern Iowa will be cooler with warmer temperatures out west with the southerly winds.
Tomorrow: Monday will be a mostly sunny day and warmer with south winds warming temperatures into the upper 70’s to lower 80’s across the state. It will be breezy as well with southerly winds 5 to 15 MPH with gusts over 20.
Tomorrow night: Monday night will be partly cloudy with a slim chance for showers and thunderstorms with the approach of a disturbance from the west. Lows will be in the low to mid 60’s across the state. The rainfall activity is not expected to be widespread.
The remainder of the week temperatures will warm back into the 80’s for highs and 60’s for lows. We will see off and on chances for showers and storms Tuesday through Friday. Stay tuned for later forecasts that will nail down details for rain chances next week.
