Iowa State Fair 2015 Forecast – Day 7 – Wednesday, August 19, 2015

A much improved day is ahead for the Iowa State Fair, albeit cold. Things will be cloudy and chilly for much of the morning with temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s. Winds will also be sustained at around 20-25 MPH during this time frame with gusts to 30 MPH, making for a very brisk morning. There will be some improvement by early afternoon with a jump to the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies. However, 25-30 MPH sustained winds with gusts to 30 MPH will still make it feel a bit chilly. Nonetheless, better than the last couple of days.

The extended outlook shows overall nice weather with temperatures in the upper 70s on Thursday leading to the low-to-mid 80s by the beginning of the weekend. Things cool down again by Sunday with a high of 72. The only precipitation concern is on Saturday, when a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms exists. Winds will also be breezy at 15-20 during the latter part of the extended.

Enjoy your Wednesday!
