Iowa State Fair 2015 Forecast – Day 6 – Tuesday, August 18, 2015

Yet another rainy day is ahead for the sixth day of the Iowa State Fair. Much cooler weather will also be the highlight with temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s for much of the morning before peaking in the low-to-mid 70s for the day. Thunderstorms will be likely throughout the day, especially in the afternoon. A 10-15 southerly wind with gusts to 20 MPH will just make conditions miserable out there. The chances of YES & Toto playing at 8:00 p.m. playing in clear skies is rather low at this point, but we’ll keep you updated.

Things are looking better by mid-week with some lingering showers possible tomorrow morning, but they should taper off and lead to simply Mostly Cloudy Skies. Temperatures will be chilly, with highs struggling to reach just 70°. A 15-20 MPH westerly wind won’t help matters either. No rain, but it will be a bit brisk out there. Better weather is on the way for Thursday and Friday as things heat back up to the upper 70s and low 80s with a light breeze. A 30% chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm comes back into the forecast for Saturday, but this is still a long ways out.

Enjoy your Tuesday!
