COMFORTABLE DAYS: It will be fairly comfortable and mainly sunny for the next few days across the state. Humidity levels will be tolerable and readings will be in the upper 70s through the middle 80s. Low at night will range from the upper 50s through the middle 60s. Unfortunately, the heat and humidity look to return by the end of the week and with that return looks to come a chance of some showers and thunderstorms. The best timing on these looks to be Wednesday night into Thursday and perhaps again Thursday evening. The chances aren’t great and some places may not get much rain at all if any, but the chances are there nevertheless.
HEATING UP: As mentioned before the heat and humidity will return late this week and looks to last into the weekend as well. There is a chance of some showers and storms on Saturday but the timing on that is still questionable at this point regarding whether it could be overnight or possibly during the daylight hours. There will be chances of showers and storms through the weekend and into the early part of next week with a frontal boundary in the area. Some of the storms could bring some heavy rainfall but we can’t pinpoint where the best chances are at this time. Highs during this period will be quite warm with higher levels of humidity as well. Highs well into the 80s and 90s will be likely through the weekend into early next week.
LOOKING TOWARD AUGUST: As we look into the extended period, the chances of rain don’t look to let up heading into next week. A frontal system looks to still be in the area according to the GFS however, any slight deviations could render a totally different solution so we’ll keep watching for those deviations. The GFS doesn’t show much of any dry weather during the extended period except for two days at the beginning of August (2nd and 3rd) ahead of another system that could bring more precipitation on the 4th. Temperatures according to the GFS model look to be warm but not overly hot with somewhat tolerable levels of humidity. A slight break at the beginning of August may cool readings a bit before warming up once more.
