Cold and dry weather will be the norm for the next couple of days across the state. Tonight readings will drop back into the single digits above and below zero. This will be the last night of such an occurance at least for the next two weeks. A slow warm up in temperatures will begin into the upcoming weekend and next week with highs breaking above freezing by Monday and possibly a few locations hitting 40 by late week. The weather will remain rather dry for a change as we move into Meteorological Spring on Monday and the month of March. The next big storm doesn’t look to hit the state until the end of next week, which will give the state a much needed break from the active weather we’ve had over the last several months.
