Iowa Weather Report July 7th 2015: Tranquil Weather Prevailing

CALM WEATHER: Widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms marched through the area yesterday along a warm front that pushed to the southeast. This cold front brought along with it cooler and dryer weather for the majority of the state, along with a thick haze that will continue to be seen in some parts through this morning. Things should remain calm for today with highs in the low-to-mid 70s and mostly sunny skies.

LONG RANGE: Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday across the southern and eastern parts of the state with additional isolated chances on Thursday and Friday. Severe weather is not anticipated with any of these systems. Beyond Friday, the general weather pattern looks dull with only isolated rain chances with relatively nice weather prevailing.
