Snow and Wind

Snow is currently falling in and around the Quad Cities area and along a line from Des Moines and Ames NE to Marshalltown, Waterloo and Decorah. Accumulations up to an inch will be possible today. The main concern however today will be the strong winds that will blow the newly fallen snow around. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Noon for the NW part of the state and until 6pm for the rest of the shaded counties above.

The rest of the week will remain dry but colder than average with highs in the 20s to around 30 and lows in the single digits and teens.

UPDATE: Winter Weather Advisories were cancelled at Noon.
