All of Iowa, Winter Weather

A Little More Snow and More Bitter Cold

There was a big ball of bright light in the sky today. It was the sun, making an appearance for the first time in nearly two weeks. It won’t last long as more clouds will move in later tonight as a storm will come across the state tonight into Wednesday. Some light snow showers are possible late tonight in western Iowa and will progress eastward throughout the day Wednesday. Accumulations will be light with an inch or less being possible. Cold air will return for later in the week, with highs in the single digits and teens and lows in the single digits above and below zero. A warm up is forecast by Sunday when highs will get back into the 20s.
