The Storm Prediction Center is currently monitoring a new area for a potential Severe Thunderstorm Watch in the next few hours. A bowing line of showers and thunderstorms is currently moving to the northeast to east toward the Kansas City area with other areas of possible initiation. These storms could pose a threat for large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado over the next couple hours. There is a lot of uncertainty associated with this risk and a watch will likely not be issued until warnings are issued.
