Cold Weather Expected Overnight; Freeze Warnings Issued

A cold high pressure system will move into the area overnight as clear skies continue. As this happens, temperatures will drop into the 20s and 30s across the state. The National Weather Service offices across the state have issued Freeze Warnings for most of the area for early this morning due to this reason. You should consider covering up any sensitive vegetation that may be affected by the cold. It is not climatologically unusual for a freeze this late into the year, however the NWS opted for headlines due to the fact that we had warm temperatures early in the month.

Temperatures tomorrow will look to improve slightly with upper 50s and lower 60s the prevailing condition. One big difference between tomorrow and today is that the wind nearly calm for most of the state, so it will actually feel warm. Friday and into the weekend looks rainy and the next week looks relatively normal, temperatures-wise, with no big disturbances to talk about.
