Above are snow amounts so far from the storm system. Most of the accumulating snow is ending in the eastern part of the state, with only a few scattered flurries or light snow showers elsewhere. The big story now is the wind. Whiteout conditions have been reported in western Iowa. This will continue statewide this afternoon into tonight. Temperatures will also be dropping back below zero. Along with the strong winds and the cold temperatures, wind chills will be dangerously low. Wind Chill Warnings have already been issued in western Iowa and more will come this afternoon for the rest of the state I would guess.
