Evening Update on Storm

5 inches of snow has fallen already in Sheldon, Primghar and Cherokee. Most amounts in the western 2/3rds of the state are between 2-4 inches right now. Snow will continue at least through Thursday afternoon in the west and Thursday evening in the east. Road Conditions have gone downhill tonight with the snowfall. Travel is not advised on the following highways:
I-80 from US Hwy 169 to Grinnell
I-35 from IA Hwy 175 to Missouri Border
US Hwy 30 from Grand Junction to LeGrand
US Hwy 34 from US Hwy 71 to east of Chariton
US Hwy 65 from near Zearing to Missouri Border
US Hwy 69 from near Jewell to Missouri Border
US Hwy 169 from IA Hwy 175 to Missouri Border
IA Hwy 141 from Perry to Urbandale (I-35/80)
IA Hwy 163 from Pleasant Hill to Monroe
IA Hwy 330 from US Hwy 65 to US Hwy 30

Winter Storm Warnings continue through Thursday evening for the entire state (except Winneshiek and Allamakee counties which are under Winter Weather Advisories)
