Today was a rather springlike Iowa day across the state with a wide range of weather hazards from strong to severe severe thunderstorms with tornadoes in the afternoon, to sleet and snow in the evening. Iowa saw nearly a 45° temperature difference from west to east this afternoon. By mid-to-late afternoon or so, temperatures in western Iowa were down to the low 30s in some spots, while eastern Iowa sat in the low 80s! Surveying teams from the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities will be out tomorrow surveying damage all across their CWA from the possible tornadoes from today.
