All of Iowa, Winter Weather

Cold, Cold, Cold

Above is the low temperatures for the ASOS stations across the state this morning. It was brutal across the state, and adding to the arctic cold, winds were between 7-14 mph, creating very dangerous wind chills. This is expected to continue tonight as well, with possibly even COLDER temperatures in store. It wouldn’t be surprising to see more -20s and even -30s across the state by tomorrow morning.

There will be a slight warmup into next week with highs getting above zero (Some places won’t do that today), and even into the teens. Lows will climb up to near or slightly above zero by Tuesday morning. There is a chance of snow by the middle and end of next week, but it’s still too far out to predict any accumulations.
