Congratulations to Springville, Unity Christian, North Linn, Nevada, Pocahontas, Harlan, and Western Dubuque for advancing to the IGHSAU 2015 State Championships! Weather today will be much warmer than earlier in the week with highs in the mid 40s and partly cloudy skies expected today. Winds will be relatively light winds at 5-15 MPH. Things will continue winding up with 50s and 60s expected by the end of next week during the boys tournament.

Championship week continues Friday with Newell-Fonda and Springville competing for a class 1A title at 6:00 PM and Unity Christian and North Linn competing for a class 2A title at 8:00 PM. Before that, four teams will compete for a chance to play in the class 5A state championship on Saturday.

Nonetheless, good luck to everybody involved with the games Friday.
