Freezing rain has developed across southern South Dakota and into Minnesota early this morning and is expected to continue pushing south into the far northern sections of the state. Temperatures in these areas are hovering around freezing which will allow for freezing rain to occur this morning. For this reason, the National Weather Service offices in Sioux Falls, La Crosse, and Des Moines have all issued freezing rain advisories for the far northern section of the state, which will run through this morning. A few tenths of ice will be possible and will lead to icy roadways and walkways. Please take it easy if you must travel this morning.
