QUICK REPORT: Not a whole lot of changes regarding the forecast over the next few days. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny with some fog possible with the melting snow. Highs today will be in the lower 30s northeast to near 50 in the southwestern counties of the state. A disturbance will move through late tonight into Sunday that could bring some drizzle, freezing drizzle, sleet or rain across the area. Not a whole lot will fall with this system but enough could cause some slick spots on roads especially bridges and overpasses. This will lead to temperatures dropping a bit for Sunday before moderating back Monday and Tuesday into the 30s and 40s once again. The cold blast still is on track to come at mid-week followed by numerous blasts through the end of the period. Readings by late next week could be in the teens for highs with lows near or below zero. All will depend on if we can clear the sky and calm the wind down for how long the temperature may go. The GFS is also showing a significant system around the 19th through the 21st of February which we will have to keep an eye on in the coming days. There’s plenty of time to watch it, and there’s also plenty of time for that storm to disappear from the models as well. One thing is for certain, the weather looks to stay chilly after mid-week.
