Chances of Snow

There is still a chance for a few snow showers this evening and tonight over the southeastern part of the state. The accumulating snows will likely stay over in Illinois. The next chance of snow will come on Sunday with an Alberta Clipper type system moving in from the northwest. This will bring one to as much as three inches of snow to the state, although amounts will likely tend to be closer to the one inch total. The storm will also bring colder weather back to the state with high temperatures next week dropping back into the teens and lower 20s. Nighttime lows next week are expected to be in the single digits to around 10. There is still a chance of some snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day over the state. Models continue to move it around and a better estimate of how much snow and when its expected to fall will be posted sometime this weekend.
