Snowstorm for Christmas

6pm Christmas Eve Night

An early Christmas present may be on the way for the midwest late next week. Models have been on and off showing a storm system moving NE from Texas into the Great Lakes Region. The map above (taken from the 0z model run earlier tonight) shows a low pressure near Chicago with heavy precipitation to the west (likely snow) and thunderstorms along the advancing cold front to the east. This isn’t looking to be as strong as the blizzard last week, but this could bring a decent amount of snow to the state, especially the eastern side.

This is however a week out, and things could change, but the liklihood is that there is going to be a storm, just a question of where.
