A cold front is currently moving through the state late this afternoon. Temperatures behind the front have plunged back into the teens and lower 20s, while ahead of the front, readings are at or above freezing, leading to some melting of the snow that had fallen this past week. Some of the snowmelt may refreeze later this evening and overnight as temperatures fall back into the teens. This upcoming week will remain below average for mid-December, with highs generally in the teens and lower 20s, and nighttime lows in the single digits above and below zero (depending on the night).
