Advisories Issued

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued from the NWS offices in Sioux Falls, Omaha and Des Moines.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued from Noon today until 3am Monday morning for the following counties, Adair, Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Greene, Guthrie, Pocahontas and Sac. The following counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6pm this evening until 6am Monday morning, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Butler, Dallas, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story, Tama, Warren, Webster and Wright. Ida and Woodbury counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 2pm until 2am, A Winter Weather Advisory has also been issued from Noon until 3am Monday morning for Harrison, Mills, Monona, Pottawattamie and Shelby counties. In addition to the advisories, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the second storm in SW Iowa. The following counties are under a Winter Storm Watch which goes into effect at Midnight Tuesday morning, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Fremont, Montgomery and Page.

A wide swath of 1-4 inches will be possible in the advisory area, travel will likely become hazardous as this will be the first “widespread” snowfall of the year. Road Conditons Later advisories from the La Crosse and the Quad Cities NWS offices will likely come out later this morning.
