Looking toward Thanksgiving, the weather will be tranquil across the state for the holiday. However, leading up to Thursday, the weather will be unsettled. Light rain has moved into the state late this afternoon into this evening and will continue off and on through Tuesday. Some of the precipitation may mix with snow at times on Tuesday with only a slight chance of some flurries on Wednesday. Travel won’t be effected in Iowa, but there could be issues off to the east of the state. A more detailed look will be posted tomorrow. Highs on Thanksgiving Day look to be a bit below average with highs in the 30s and lower 40s and nighttime readings in the 20s.
