Calm Weather to Start November

Only a few clouds and lots of sunshine greeted the state today as the month of November dawned. The weather will remain tranquil through the week with only a slight chance of rain at mid-week. Temperatures will remain stable through the week with highs generally in the 50s and lows in the 30s.

Rivers continue over flood stage in the eastern part of the state from recent heavy rains the previous week. The rivers should fall below flood stage by mid-week. The following rivers are still under a flood warning,

The English River at Kalona
The Iowa River at Columbus Junction
The Iowa River at Wapello
The North Skunk River near Sigourney
The Iowa River at Marengo
The Skunk River at Augusta
The West Fork Cedar River at Finchford
The South Skunk River near Oskaloosa
The Cedar River at Cedar Falls
