Depending on what side of the state you were on today, was what type of weather you recieved today. In the southeastern half to 3/4ths of the state, temperatures were in the 60s to lower 70s with partly cloudy skies and gusty south winds. In northwest Iowa, light to at times heavy rain fell with temperatures holding in the upper 40s to around 50. The cool weather will win the battle along with the rain as a front will sweep across the state later tonight into tomorrow bringing the chances of showers and isolated thunderstorms to the state. Some of the rainfall could be heavy with amounts of 1-2 inches possible when the rain ends on Friday. Some heavier amounts are possible. Temperatures will cool off back into the 40s and 50s for highs with lows in the 30s.
