A cold, rainy October afternoon continues across the state. A swath of light to moderate rain continues mainly between US Hwy 20 and IA Hwy 92. It is moving off to the east and southeast around a low pressure system that is currently departing the northeastern part of the state. Temperatures this afternoon have been held down, with some locations not having broken 50 yet. Average highs this time of year are in the upper 60s to low 70s statewide. 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain is possible through this evening. High School Football games will be VERY sloppy tonight.
